As digitization replaces analog models in residential construction, the business has expanded to include whole-house automation, including lighting, locks, HVAC, appliances, and more.

President, Lee Lareau, and his team bring a professional ear for sound, extraordinary service, and attention to detail to each project. Lee has spent more than 30 years in the music industry: as a professional musician, sound engineer, and system designer. Numerous awards include an Emmy for stereo system design for audio component manufacturer, dbx® and a Grand Prix award for NEAR®. While serving as district manager at Boston’s Tech HiFi, the company was named in Audio Video International’s top ten U.S. dealers seven years running.
In 2010, CHT was proud to receive the Rising Star award from internationally acclaimed, Transparent Audio. The company also received “best retrofit” awards for custom home theater design in 2008, 2010 and 2011 as well as "best home of the year" in 2011.
